My solution is to have two flatcars with the same reporting marks and car number, one with the load glued down, the other with no load. These cars can be changed out between sessions in order to display either a loaded car or an empty car.Hanselhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07306343107051452409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3218524178230712938.post-31155679099006341762018-01-06T08:55:45.571-08:002018-01-06T08:55:45.571-08:00I've wrestled with the question of removable l...I've wrestled with the question of removable loads for years. My biggest objection was the "gap" visible on certain loads when in the car. I plan to ship a lot of sand and gravel in gondolas on my pike, and these are loads that are sometimes difficult to make removable without showing those gaps around the load (especially the sand loads). Several years ago I purchased a bunch of Accurail gondolas in duplicate. It's my intent to create sets of cars, empties and loads, even to the point of similar weathering and markings on the pairs. I wouldn't attempt this for a vast fleet of cars . . . say, coal hoppers. But for the modest dozen cars I'll be using, I think it will work out well.

-Jack Shall
http://blog.lacentralrr.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
