I note that the ladders on your copy are not as fine as the model shown with the kit box (photo 2 above). My copy has the ladders shown in photo 2. However, the roof and underbody are black. In addition, and pertinent to your issue of the "unfinished" corners, my copy has black corner strips to finish those corners. These do not seem to be shown on the model in photo 2. On my copy, the trucks are broken off, and the couplers are pre X-2F horn hooks, the primary issues to be resolved before I can use this model.
